  • OFFICIAL CHURCH GC DELEGATES FORM

This form is for churches to provide an official record of their licensed ministers, elders, and retired elders and members elected as Official Delegates. This form includes the option for Churches to pay for all or part of their delegates' and guests' expenses. Churches should complete this form before registering individual delegates. Only individuals listed on this form will be recognized as official delegates at the General Conference.
  • Format: (000) 000-0000.
  • OFFICIALLY RECOGNIZED DELEGATES

This list confirms delegate eligibility and will serve as the verification document at check-in.
  • This section lists the individuals recognized as official delegates to the General Conference in accordance with the Congregational Methodist Church Book of Discipline.

    Officially Recognized Delegates include:

    Ministerial Delegates

      CM Licensed Ministers
CM Licensed Elders / Ordained Ministers
Retired CM Elders / Ordained Ministers

These clergy are automatically recognized as Ministerial Delegates and should be listed below if associated with your church.

    Church Elected Delegates

Members of the local church who have been duly elected by the church body to serve as General Conference Delegates.

    Church Approved Alternate Delegates

Members of the local church who have been duly elected by the church body to serve as Alternate Delegates. Alternates serve only in the absence of an elected delegate.

    Important Clarification
Supply pastors or clergy whose church membership is elsewhere are not eligible to serve as delegates by virtue of their position. They may serve only if they are members of the local church and are elected by that church body.

  • Ministerial Delegates

  • Church Elected Delegates

  • Church Approved Alternate Delegates

  • Alternate Delegates are members of the local church who have been duly elected by the church body to serve in the event that a primary delegate is unable to attend or participate in the General Conference.

Alternate Delegates may be listed on this form along with elected delegates.

    Important Clarification

Alternate Delegates serve only when an elected delegate is absent or unable to serve.

When serving in place of an absent delegate, the Alternate Delegate assumes all rights and responsibilities of that delegate, including voting privileges.

If the elected delegate is present and serving, the Alternate Delegate may attend the conference but will not be seated as a voting delegate.

  • Guests / Non-Voting Attendees

While the delegate system ensures fair representation of churches in the Conference's business, all members of Congregational Methodist churches who are willing and able to attend are welcome.

Individuals attending who are not serving as official delegates may attend as Guests or Non-Voting Attendees.

Guests may attend conference sessions and activities, but will not be seated as voting delegates.

All non-delegate attendees should pre-register for the Conference and may choose to purchase a meal pass if they plan to participate in conference meals. There is a separate form for Guests / Non-Voting Attendees to Register.
